Material Handling
Please note that the exhibitor fee does not include freight, storage, drayage or setup.
Because neither the IEEE APS /URSI 2010 nor the hotel can guarantee delivery or storage of shipments, it is strongly recommended that freight, storage and drayage arrangements be made on a pay-per-service basis through the IEEE APS / URSI 2010 subcontractor (or equivalent).
The IEEE APS / URSI 2010 freight, storage, drayage and/or setup sub-contractor is Robinson Show Services. The contact person is Ms. Elaine Blosmanis, who can be contacted by e-mail elaine@robinsonshowservices.ca or telephone +1-905-625-4625. The material handling services that can be provided for a pay-per-service fee by Robinson Show Services is : Unloading of your material at the loading dock, moving it to your booth, and storage of empty crates prior to the opening of the show. At the close of the show, the empty crates are returned to your booth and the material is moved to the dock and reloaded to your carrier or brought back to the warehouse for pick-up later by your carrier (post show warehousing). It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to notify Robinson Show Services of any shipments requiring material handling services, forklift and or special handling.
There is limited empty storage on the show floor. Empty cartons not stored in a booth must be removed by the exhibitor. The aisles will need to be cleared by the facility prior to the exhibition opening. Any boxes or crates not removed will have to be disposed of.
The Sheraton Centre Hotel has excellent underground shipping and receiving facilities. Please note that the maximum vehicle height is 13'. Ideally , trucks entering the loading area should be straight trucks with less than 30' long boxes or decks. The maximum height for all vehicles is 13'. Van lines, trucks longer than 36' and/ or tractor trailers should not enter the loading docks.
The Sheraton Centre will not receive show site shipments prior to show date.
Domestic exhibitors who need an advance warehousing service should contact Robinson Show Services directly.
Customs
Shipments from outside Canada will need to be cleared by Canadian customs. The IEEE APS / URSI 2010 customs broker sub-contractor is Turner Customs & Logistics Group. The contact person is Ms. Denise Turner, who can be contacted by e-mail dturner@turnertradeshows.com, telephone +1-866-838-4974 or fax +1-450-638-2873.
