Visa Information
Depending on where you live, and the reason for your visit, you will need to meet certain entry requirements to be admitted to Canada. All persons, including U.S. citizens and children traveling by air between the United States and Canada, are required to present a valid passport at the border. For other countries you may additionally need to obtain a Temporary Resident Visa. A list of countries for which a visa is not required includes:

Students holding a single-entry visa in the U.S. should take note that if you plan to attend the conference, you will need to re-apply for a U.S. visa in order re-enter the United States at the conclusion of the conference. These students are advised to begin applying for U.S. visas as soon as possible.
Documents you must have at the border into Canada include:
- a passport or travel document that is valid for your entire stay and guarantees re-entry to your country of origin
- if applicable, a valid temporary resident visa
- letters of invitation from the APS/URSI 2010 conference, which will be available once your paper is accepted
- 24-hour contact details of your host in Canada and
proof that you have enough money for both your stay in Canada and your return home.
